There are three tournaments in the Bisbee's Series: East Cape Offshore (August 2 - 6, 2022,) Los Cabos Offshore (October 20 - 23, 2022,) and the most popular, Black & Blue Marlin Tournament (October 25 - 29, 2022.) These tournaments have been a main attraction to the Baja for 30 years.
It all started in 1981 with Bob Bisbee. Back then, six teams competed for $10,000; nowadays, more than 150 teams compete for a multimillion prize. Bisbee's had the record for the highest payout in sport fishing history. It was just broken last August in Harbor Island, Bahamas. Billfisher caught a whooping 77.5 pound white marlin in the 49th Annual White Marlin Open.
The Black & Blue is the main event; when people say Bisbee's, most of the time, they're talking about this tournament. It has the most participants and the biggest payout. Los Cabos Offshore happens a couple of days before Black & Blue and is a more relaxed, friendly tournament; it's been nicknamed "Little Bisbee's."
The Black and Blue turns Cabo into a whole other world. The marina is packed with people shopping, dining, and weighing in their catch of the day. It's five days of "organized chaos" that brings so many people into town, so join the fun!
