Los Cabos golf rates for the 2026-27 season: high-season green fees at the public courses, which ones closed or went private, and how to pick one.
Updated October 2026. Every rate on this page is high season, in US dollars, per player, checked against each course’s own site or booking system. Rates change by season and by where you book, so confirm the number when you reserve.
Golf in Los Cabos looks different this winter. Some of the best-known courses have closed to the public or gone private, at least one public course now includes food and drink in the green fee, and a new Pacific links is about to open. Getting a public tee time takes more planning than it used to.
What changed this season
- Cabo Real closed on September 28, 2026 and will reopen as a private course, part of the Cabo Real Surf Club.
- Quivira is open only to owners and to guests of the Pueblo Bonito resorts, and the Ocean Course is the private Cove Club. Neither takes public tee times.
- The Jack Nicklaus courses at Palmilla are in the middle of a major renovation. Reports say only the Arroyo nine is open; call before you build a trip around Palmilla.
- Oleada Golf Links is Ernie Els’s first course in Mexico: an 18-hole links of about 7,336 yards with roughly a mile along the Pacific, some fifteen minutes from downtown Cabo San Lucas. It has been in preview play since the summer and opens officially in November 2026.
- Cabo del Sol’s former Desert Course has been renovated and now goes by Cabo del Sol Golf Course.

Per player, in US dollars, as of October 2026. Where a course does not publish its rate, we say so rather than print a number. Rates change by season and by booking channel: confirm when you book. Ask about club rental when you reserve; at Oleada it is $69.
How to choose
A full day out with friends
Puerto Los Cabos includes food and drink at stations out on the course, so the round becomes the whole day. Oleada and Solmar are the other big-view options; ask them what the fee includes before you assume it covers lunch. Cabo del Sol’s rate does not include food and drink.
Just the golf
Club Campestre San José: a local favourite, kept in good condition, with views over the Sea of Cortés, and a morning rate under $300.
On a budget
Cabo San Lucas Country Club, with views toward Land’s End. It does not publish its rates, so ask for the number when you call.
The twilight rule
Winter days are short here. A 1:00 PM start leaves room to finish in daylight; from 1:30 PM you need to keep a steady pace to get the last holes in before dark.
